Snap It and See

Here at Ben’s we are running a healthy living project called “Snap It and See.” It has been set up to run from January to March 2012 to give Ben’s center’s clients an opportunity to take a series of photos that show different aspects of their lives, from things they enjoy doing to the places they go and people they see. We have developed some of the photos and have begun looking at them from a health point of view, assessing the risks and addressing any harmful situations clients may be subjected to. We’re also looking to see if the photos reflect what clients are eating and if we can help them to devise a healthier diet and/or healthy living plan.

We are hoping the project will give clients a chance to look at their lives from the outside and gain the opportunity and the information to make small progressive changes to improve their lifestyles.

Every client involved in the project receives their own photo album with a heath plan and menu’s that they put together themselves. We will be cooking from these menus at lunch time for taster sessions so we can share the experiences from this project.

Things are developing well at the moment although you could say that the proof of the pudding is in the eating!
